AIS Director of Academic Affairs:

We are looking for a radiologist with:

  • Creativity to enhance current relationships and build new relationships between AIS, Universities, and Private Practices

Qualifications

  • Board Certified Radiologist (DACVR, DECVDI) with at least 3 years’ experience
  • Academic or residency training experience preferred

Job Structure

  • 50% Academic Affairs: 50% Teleradiology (As program grows, teleradiology time may decrease)
  • Competitive Salary and Sign on Bonus
  • Report to Chief Medical Officer
    • Work closely with the current Director to ensure a smooth transition
  • Manage the European Associate Director of Academic Affairs
  • Travel as needed

Academic Affairs Responsibilities

  • Expand University and Private Practice Residency Programs
    • Collaborate with Universities to maintain or create residency programs
    • If approved by the CMO, place AIS sponsored residents in hybrid positions in Universities or private practice
    • Help Mars Veterinary Hospital private practices to create residency programs by providing support as needed
  • Support residents and residency programs
    • Prepare and score mock exams
    • Provide feedback from exams and cases
    • Manage, monitor and maintain current support services, including teleradiology rotations
    • Work one on one with residents needing individual support
  • Manage and maintain AIS resident website
    • Oversee creation of online courses for use in resident teaching and maintain known case database
