Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine is seeking a board-certified or board eligible individual to fill a Diagnostic Imaging position in our hospital. The schedule is flexible and full or part-time positions can be accommodated.

Central Hospital is an established (since 1972) referral and emergency hospital in south central Connecticut offering services by boarded/certified specialists including Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Medical Oncology, Ophthalmology, Emergency/Critical Care, Anesthesiology, Avian/Exotics, Behavior, Dermatology and Canine Rehabilitation. The hospital specialists also perform interventional radiology and feline I-131 therapy. Our current 24,000 sf facility was completed in 2013,  specifically designed for our needs.

Our diagnostic imaging department consists of 2 radiologists, 4 dedicated technicians (one certified in human nuclear medicine and MRI), and 4 dedicated technician assistants. Our diagnostic equipment includes a GE Brightspeed 16 slice CT, GE Logic 7 ultrasound, two DR radiology suites, fluoroscopy and Asteris Keystone PACS. An MRI suite was designed into the building in anticipation of future expansion of services. In addition, we have expanded services in an annex facility along the coast of CT east of New Haven, and have plans for further expansion in the near future. In addition to in-house and out-patient DI services, we also offer teleradiology services to a growing number of clients in the region.

Duties will include provision of radiography, ultrasonography, and CT services (and MRI when it comes online) to support the in-house and satellite caseload, provide outpatient services to surrounding veterinarians, and teleradiology.
