WebsiteVeterinary Specialty Services

Do you want to practice hands-on radiology with other radiologists among a large group of dedicated specialists?  Do you want to know what happens to the cases you image?  Do you want to use all your skills with ultrasound, MR, CT and fluoroscopy?  Do you enjoy teaching but don’t want an academic career? Then Veterinary Specialty Services is the place for you!

We are in our 26th year of providing high-level care to St. Louis Metro-area veterinarians and their patients/clients.  VSS has all the advanced equipment a radiologist needs for success, including: 1.5T MRI, CT, Phillips Epiq Ultrasound and digital fluoroscopy. We have a large caseload, which offers a variety of interesting new cases daily.

Our doctors include 19 specialists in cardiology, critical care, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, radiology and surgery.  We have active specialty intern and residency programs in critical care, surgery, neurology and radiology. We have a fantastic team of 18 experienced emergency doctors.  We are supported by amazing client services representatives and veterinary technicians.

St. Louis is a major metropolitan area that offers all the amenities of big city living with a small town feel.  Forest Park (site of the 1904 World’s Fair and Olympics) is home to several museums and the #1 zoo in the country. Nearby are the Arch, Science Center and the Botanical Gardens.  The St. Louis area has diverse neighborhoods, great restaurants, theater, dance companies and a world-class symphony.  If you are a sports fan, St. Louis has plenty to cheer with the Blues and the Cardinals and soon to be professional soccer. The outdoor enthusiast will find easy access to multiple state/national park systems, the Ozark Mountains, scenic river waterways and the Katy Trail. Enjoy all this with low housing costs, easy commutes and highly-rated school systems.

The successful candidate will have achieved board certification or have completed or be in the final year of a residency and be actively pursuing board certification.  For the right candidate, we would consider regular part time/locum or teleradiology positions. The candidate will be assisting with residency training.
