Leanne Magestro, DVM, DACVR(RO) is originally from Northeastern Ohio. She received her undergraduate degree at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania and moved to North Carolina for veterinary medical school. She graduated from NC State College of Veterinary Medicine with her DVM in 2014. Dr. Magestro completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas and then returned to NC State for her Radiation Oncology Residency, which she completed in July 2018. She currently a Radiation Oncologist at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Maitland, FL and Michigan State University in East Lansing. Her interests include feline solitary site lymphoma, canine osteosarcoma, and radiation therapy for non-neoplastic diseases. She has been the current ACVR Secretary since 2019.
