5-year-old female spayed Airedale Terrier

Lifelong history of dribbling urine and incontinence

  • Lifelong history of dribbling urine and incontinence.
  • No response to Proin or treatment of urinary tract infections.
  • Urinary tract ultrasound was recommended.

The bladder was explored and the mass removed. Histopathology revealed chronic, extensive, polypoid cystitis. There was some suspicion that the lesion was on a continuum with carcinoma in situ and transitional cell carcinoma. The incontinence did not resolve and the patient was euthanized not long after surgery.
