The ACVR is developing new study guides to support candidates preparing for the Diagnostic Imaging (DI) and Equine Diagnostic Imaging (EDI) Preliminary Examinations. As part of this initiative, we are seeking volunteers to participate in the evaluation and refinement of these guides.
Your insights as a trainer or recent exam candidate are essential to ensuring these resources are clear, comprehensive, and user-friendly. We are recruiting for two key phases of the project:
1. Think-Aloud Sessions – September 2025
(Timeline approximate and subject to change)
We are looking for:
-
6–12 residency program directors or trainers
-
6–12 recent DI or EDI preliminary examination candidates
What to Expect:
-
Participate in one or more live, one-hour virtual sessions (2–4 participants per session). Attendance at every session is not required.
-
Collaboratively review draft sections of the study guide.
-
Provide real-time feedback to identify confusing content, gaps, or areas needing clarification.
2. Final Pilot Workshops – November 2025
(Timeline approximate and subject to change)
We are seeking:
-
12–24 recent DI or EDI preliminary examination candidates
(Note: Candidates who participated in a Think-Aloud session are not eligible for this phase.)
What to Expect:
-
Join a one-hour virtual workshop (small group format).
-
Evaluate the full study guide for usability, clarity, organization, and overall effectiveness.
Your feedback will directly inform the refinement of the final study guides and help future candidates better prepare for success.
If you are interested in volunteering for either the Think-Aloud Sessions or the Final Pilot Workshops, please contact us at examdirector@acvr.org.
Thank you for supporting the continued excellence of ACVR training and certification.
