The award can be presented in the form of a certificate at your annual Senior Awards Banquet (or other comparable ceremony). The award includes:
- A one-year online subscription to Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound, the official journal of the American College of Veterinary Radiology.
- A one-year membership in all ACVR Societies: Veterinary Ultrasound Society (VUS), CT/MRI Society, Society of Veterinary Nuclear Medicine (SVNM), Large Animal Diagnostic Imaging Society (LADIS).
- Free registration at ONE of the next three annual ACVR Scientific Conferences.
The monetary value of this award is ranges from $575 to $750 (depending on the conference year selected). Selection of the award winner should be determined by the radiology department faculty at the school and should reflect the student’s enthusiasm for and understanding of diagnostic radiology and/or radiation oncology. Award recipients should contact Jeanette Donahue <firstname.lastname@example.org>, ACVR Controller to initiate their memberships.
Radiology faculty who will be selecting the award winner should contact Lucinda Ayres (Email: email@example.com), Managing Editor, Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound to obtain a Recipient Information Sheet. The completed information sheet should be returned at least three weeks prior to the scheduled awards banquet (FAX to 919-510-0560; Email: firstname.lastname@example.org) so that the certificate can be personalized and returned to the specified college personnel.
We are most pleased to play a role in the effort to recognize excellence in veterinary medicine through this award. The American College of Veterinary Radiology respectfully honors each student’s individual accomplishments in addition to recognizing the single individual who excels in radiology.
NOTE: Since ACVR provides a single award to each college, those radiology faculty who wish to give an award to more than one student would need to arrange to pay the ACVR the monetary value of the award to cover the cost of the additional award.
