RESIDENCY STANDARDS AND EVALUATION COMMITTEE

Overview: The purpose of this Committee is to evaluate applications for approval of standard residency training programs in diagnostic radiology, applications for alternative training programs in diagnostic radiology, and applications (including reapplications) to take the preliminary examination in diagnostic radiology. The committee also monitors the status of active residency training programs through program updates and re-approval every 3 years.

Length of Term: 3 years.

Number Selected: 7 members including the chair

Time Commitment:  ~35 hours per year (busiest in February and March)

Overview: The purpose of this Committee is to evaluate applications for approval of standard residency training programs in radiation oncology, applications for alternative training programs in radiation oncology, and applications (including reapplications) to take the examination in radiation oncology. The committee also monitors the status of active residency training programs through program updates and re-approval every 3 years.

Length of Term: 4 years (4th year as chair)

Number Selected: 4 members including the chair

Time Commitment:  ~35 hours per year (busiest in February and March)
