Hello all, I am Eric T. Hostnik. I am a tenured associate professor at Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine with credentials of DACVR-DI and DACVR-EDI. I am the residency director of Ohio State’s imaging program helping the growth of the program to oversee seven residents (next year to eight residents). Outside of Ohio State’s walls, I am the primary radiologist for an international zoological-centric radiology service through the Chicago Zoological Society/Brookfield Zoo. I will also work with my local zoo, Columbus Zoo, for onsite work. My passion for growing zoo imaging has culminated in heading the formation of ACVR’s Zoo, Exotic, and Wildlife Diagnostic Imaging Society (ZEWDIS); I am the society’s first president. I have served as a reviewer for ACVR conference abstracts for both ZEWDIS and the ultrasound society multiple years. I am also an active reviewer for Veterinary Radiology & Ultrasound (as well as other reputable journals). I am an organizing editor collaborating with zoo clinicians at Brookfield Zoo and San Diego Zoo for a new textbook – Diagnostic Imaging Zoo and Wild Mammals. The role of editor provides me an opportunity to work alongside many colleagues to accomplish something special in the zoological world. I look forward to expanding my role in the American College of Veterinary Radiology leadership. I believe I am bringing leadership experience from an academician leading a large residency program, a double-boarded veterinary radiologist active in small and large animal clinical work/research, and a teleradiology service in the non-domestic species.
Thank you all for consideration.
