Hello ACVR! My name is Kemba Clapp and I am an excited candidate for your Executive Council. I was a faculty member at VA-MD College of Veterinary Medicine (VMCVM) for 7 years before recently moving back home to Brooklyn, where I am a teleradiologist with BluePearl/PetRays. While at VMCVM, I was active on several committees including Admissions, Curriculum Board, Diversity & Inclusion, and Honor Board for the Undergraduate, Graduate and DVM programs. I was most proud of winning the 2019 Zoetis Distinguished Teacher Award and being part of a successful residency training program. I have been a member of the ACVR DI-Residency Standards and Evaluation Committee since December 2015 and was chair from December 2019-December 2020. Within the past year, I have also helped with the ACVR Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Task Force and AAVMC Academic Affairs Committee Working Group on Internship and Residency Selection (which includes diplomates from ACVS, ACVIM, ACVR and ACVECC).
I continue to be grateful for all of the opportunities that have come my way as a veterinarian and ACVR Diplomate and am truly honored to be considered for a position on Executive Council.
