All Diplomates who train ACVR residents are invited to the ACVR Residency Educator Retreat at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX on Thursday, April 30 – Saturday, May 2 for an interactive blend of keynote talks and facilitated activities, panel discussions, and face-to-face conversations about residency education.

8:30 AM – 5:15 PM: KEYNOTE WORKSHOP: Coaching, Feedback, and Mentorship in Resident Training with Dr. Karen Cornell, DVM, PhD, DACVS
6:30 PM – 8:30 PM: Evening Social Event at Benjamin Knox Gallery and Wine Bar, sponsored by VitalRADS

Thursday and Saturday sessions will be planned with our attendees, so we will be reaching out to you as you register to help organize the itinerary around topics of greatest interest.
For example: Do you want to learn how others help out a resident who is struggling with skills or knowledge base? How they facilitate board prep? How can we ensure well-rounded training when programs have such varied caseloads? Do you want to share education resources or participate in collaborative learning? What strategies have you employed to make your work life or resident training easier, more efficient, or more effective? Educators can share both challenges and successes as a means to find common ground and brainstorm new ideas.
This event will be in-person only. You are encouraged to register as soon as you can commit to come. Space is limited and the hotel will book quickly due to concurrent local community events. ACVR is hosting this retreat with a zero-fee registration to support our educators. Confirmed hotel and travel details will be required to hold your seat.
