It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing one of our ACVR Diplomates, Dr. Brian Jones.
Dr. Brian Jones earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis and completed a 1-year small animal rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles. He received his radiology residency training at The Ohio State University where he also earned a Master of Science with research work focused on MRI susceptibility artifacts associated with cervical spinal implants. Following his residency, Dr. Jones joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin, Madison as a clinical instructor. During his 2-year appointment, he collaborated on various research projects evaluating the effects of acupuncture and Lidocaine on gastrointestinal motility. He also helped UW Veterinary care to start an outpatient imaging service. In 2016, Dr. Jones joined the AIS team as a full-time teleradiologist.
At this time, the family has not made any plans for a memorial or places to send donations or flowers. Brian leaves behind his wife, no children.
