Dr. Charles (Chuck) Root (WSU, 1966), passed away on Aug. 31 at the age of 81. Born in Montana, Dr. Root graduated with his DVM from WSU after switching from an engineering program. Following graduation, he attended Colorado State University to complete his residency in veterinary radiology. He spent 57 years in the profession, the last 39 years as owner and referral clinician at Animal Medical Imaging in Bothell. Dr. Root was well-respected in the veterinary community and loved his profession. He He’s survived by his wife Joann, three children, Jodi, Andrea, and Brian; son-in-law Rachid, daughter-in-law Janine as well as four grandchildren.
